Grand Champion Carcass was a Akaushi/Charolais Steer from Aschermann Akaushi at the 2024 Missouri State Fair. Sired by the Top Selling Akaushi Sire TANK. Congratulations Gus Schoen and Family!

I’ve raised commercial and seedstock cattle my entire life, and have very high expectations for cattle in our operation. When selecting Akaushi donors to start our program, we had a strict checklist: proven carcass data, high growth, phenotype, top maternal genetics and DOCILITY. We do not put up with “high headed” cattle ever, regardless of any other traits. The Aschermann bred females we acquired to checked every box. The cows are fertile, have perfect udders, are great mama cows and have confirmation to compete with any British breed. When I picked them up from the embryologist, several staff at Trans Ova in Bryan sought me out and told me these females were the calmest, most gentle Akaushi they’ve ever had come off a trailer there. This is a testament to Larry and Peggy’s program and the cattle they raise. Buy with confidence.

We are so excited to have the opportunity to introduce Aschermann Akaushi into our Angus cow/calf operation. In the last few years of using Aschermann Akaushi semen, we have seen an improvement in both the quality grade and muscling of our steers that we provide our customers and our restaurant. Customers that have purchased our Akaushi cross steers have been able to see, and taste, a difference in this quality beef. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the Aschermann’s as we continue to provide better beef for the industry.
